Planting Instructions
Plant during spring or early summer once the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. Select a sunny position with fertile, freely draining soil.
Plant each tuber horizontally approximately 5–10cm beneath the surface, positioning the growing point or eye upwards. Allow approximately 40–60cm between plants.
Avoid overwatering while the tubers remain dormant. Once shoots emerge, water regularly during dry periods without allowing the soil to become waterlogged.
Ongoing Care
Apply a complete fertiliser during active growth and mulch around the plants while keeping the emerging stems clear. Deadhead regularly to encourage further flowering.
The mix may include tall or large-flowered varieties. Install stakes early and support plants as required to protect stems from wind and the weight of developing flowers.
