    The Hyacinth ‘Blue Pearl’ (Hyacinthus orientalis) is a classic spring favourite, producing soft porcelain-blue blooms packed tightly into fragrant flower spikes. Elegant and reliable, this variety grows to around 20–30 cm tall and is perfect for garden beds, pots, and traditional hyacinth glasses.

    Best suited to cool to temperate climates, Hyacinth ‘Blue Pearl’ is frost hardy and will return year after year in cooler regions when grown in well-drained soil. Supplied as dry bulbs, ready for seasonal planting.

    Tips:

    • Ideal for garden beds, containers, and hyacinth glasses

    • In frost-prone areas, plant in early autumn for natural winter chilling

    • In warmer climates, pre-chill bulbs in the fridge crisper for 6 weeks in March, then plant in May

    • Water lightly until shoots emerge

    After Flowering:

    • Top-dress with blood and bone to strengthen bulbs

    • In warmer regions, lift bulbs once foliage dies back and store for the next season

    Handling Note:
    Hyacinth bulbs may cause skin irritation. Wear gloves and wash hands after handling.
