    🌿 Planting & Care Instructions

    • Soil: Well-drained, compost-enriched soil

    • Watering:

      • Water well as bulbs shoot

      • Apply high-nitrogen feed at emergence

      • Fertilise lightly at bud formation

      • Water deeply after flowering to feed bulbs

    • After Flowering:

      • Remove spent blooms

      • Allow foliage to naturally die back

      • Once foliage yellows, lift bulbs and store in a cool, ventilated net bag

❄️ Refrigerating Tulips for Warm Climates

Tulips require cold for proper flowering. In frost-free areas:

    • Refrigerate bulbs for 6–8 weeks before planting

    • Use breathable paper bags

    • Keep away from ripening fruit

    • Never freeze
This helps produce taller stems and earlier flowers — a benefit that builds over time.

🌿 Growing as Annuals in Warm Regions

    • Refrigerate bulbs 8 weeks

    • Plant in large pots in late May

    • Keep pots in shaded area until shoots reach 5 cm

    • Then move to a sunny spot and enjoy the lush flowering display
