Description
Looking for a flashy, easy-to-grow houseplant to add a splash of color to your home? Look no further than the Strawberry Star caladium! This variegated plant has light green leaves with pretty pink speckles and dark green veins, making it a perfect addition to any sun or shade garden. Plus, its large leaves will really stand out in any pot or container.
Caladiums are relatively simple to care for - just give them moist soil that drains well (but doesn't dry out completely), and they'll be happy. In cooler climates, they may go through a period of dormancy throughout winter, but don't worry - they'll be back better than ever when the weather starts to warm up. Just reduce watering to 1-2 months during dormancy.
Note: Caladiums will go dormant over the cooler months of the year - they lose their foliage and look much like an empty pot until new growth appears in spring.
