Description

Remove deep-rooted weeds from a comfortable standing position with the Ryset Australian Artisan Daisy Weeder.

Handmade in Melbourne, this heavy-duty weeding tool combines a forged forked blade, integrated footrest and curved pivot point with a long Australian Spotted Gum hardwood handle. The sharpened fork is designed to penetrate the soil beside a taproot, lock beneath it and provide the leverage needed to lift the weed from the ground.

Its 1500mm handle reduces the need for bending or kneeling, making it particularly useful for maintaining lawns, garden beds and larger growing areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

What weeds can this daisy weeder remove?

It is designed for daisies, dandelions, dock, thistles and other weeds with substantial taproots.

How long is the handle?

The Spotted Gum hardwood handle is approximately 1500mm or 5ft long, allowing the tool to be operated from a standing position.

Does it remove the entire root?

The forked blade is designed to grip beneath taproots, but complete removal depends on the weed, soil conditions and positioning of the blade. Regrowth may occur if part of the root remains.

Is it suitable for lawns?

Yes. Its narrow forked blade allows individual weeds to be targeted while limiting unnecessary disturbance to the surrounding lawn.

Can it be used in hard clay soil?

Yes, although lightly moistening extremely hard soil beforehand can improve penetration. Do not use excessive force if the blade encounters rocks or another solid obstruction.

What is the handle made from?

The handle is made from Australian Spotted Gum, a strong hardwood selected for demanding long-handled garden tools.

Is the tool Australian made?

Yes. This Ryset Australian Artisan tool is handmade in Melbourne using an Australian hardwood handle.

How should it be stored?

Clean and dry the tool after use, protect the steel with a light coating of oil when required and store it under cover in a dry location.
