- Water: It is best that you water your frangipani in summer and spring and hold off on winter watering. These plants thrive best in sandy soils that drain well. If you have no suitable soil in your garden, frangipanis also grow well in large pots, given there is adequate drainage.
- Food: Frangipani trees are relatively easy and low-maintenance to grow. While they do not need feeding, occasional fertiliser around the drip line won't hurt.
- Protection: Originating from Mexico, this tree thrives in warmer climates. However, during cold and wet months, it is vulnerable to root tip and branch rot caused by fungus. To prevent this, refrain from watering during winter months and apply an anti-rot product to the leaves.

Trying very hard to preserve this beautiful specie Frangipani over a Melbourne winter but struggling to keep up. Your professional advice be much appreciated at this time. I’m hoping it will come back stronger than ever with the passing seasons
Hoping I got the depth right! Have ensured roots are not too far below surface and will place a barrier at the base of the trunk to limit too much rain penetrating the soil to protect from root rot. I purchased 2 bare rooted plants that have only just gone into the ground so if any changes need to be made or if there are any tips that would better my chances of success would love to receive them. As for Old Boys, extremely good service and the plants arrived very well protected/cared for and watered due to their packing technique. I also purchased a hibiscus and Little John bottlebrush both potted and in very good condition. Delivery (interstate) was timely and my phone contact with them to correct an email address error (my error) was a good experience. Would definitely again from Old Boys

My Tropical Fruit Salad arrived safe but a bit dehydrated after 10 days in the post.. It did look a bit worse for wear & the leaves looked so droopy I thought I'd never save it... but.. I sat it in some water for an hour then planted it out in a pot (I did say a prayer) ... the next day it looked absolutely beautiful & in the next week it produced 3 new leaves... So happy with my purchase which came well wrapped .. Thank you Keiran , this wont be the last one I buy from you. Cheers

Approx 2 years ago I purchased a Frangipanni Tree from Old Boys - specifically requesting a WHITE with yellow throat and perfumed. it has developed very well as I have been nurturing it making sure it thrived. It has just begun to flower for the first time and imagine my total disappointment when I discovered it was PINK!!! I am 89 years old and 12 months ago I came into Residential Care and was able to bring it in with me which I was so happy about until one of the carers told me yesterday about the colour!!!!!!
