Purple Party Gladioli Bulb – Gladiolus Grandiflorus – Purple, Mauve & Maroon Blooms

Product Details

Bring bold summer colour to your garden with Purple Party Gladioli, a striking Gladiolus grandiflorus variety featuring dreamy shades of purple and mauve with a rich contrasting maroon throat. The layered tones give this gladiolus a dramatic yet elegant appearance, making it a standout choice for garden beds, borders and fresh floral arrangements.

Gladioli are one of the most popular summer flowering bulbs for Australian gardens, loved for their tall upright flower spikes, impressive blooms and excellent use as cut flowers. Purple Party adds height, colour and structure to the garden, producing tall stems that can reach approximately 100–150cm.

Flowering in January and February, these gladioli bulbs are ideal for creating a strong summer display. Plant them in groups for a fuller effect, combine them with other summer flowering bulbs, or grow them in a cutting garden for beautiful stems to bring indoors.

Plant from June to September in full sun to semi shade. Supplied as a dry bulb, Purple Party Gladioli is a rewarding choice for gardeners wanting tall, colourful blooms with excellent vase appeal.

Planting & Care

Plant gladioli bulbs from June to September in well-drained soil. Choose a position in full sun to semi shade, with some protection from strong winds where possible.

Plant bulbs approximately 10–15cm deep, with the pointed end facing upwards. Space bulbs around 10–15cm apart for a fuller display. Water in after planting and keep lightly moist while the plants are actively growing.

As the tall gladiolus flower spikes develop, staking may be useful in windy or exposed positions. For cut flowers, pick stems when the lower blooms are just beginning to open and place them straight into clean water.
